The Atkins empire pulls in $100 million every year, constantly promoting "low-carbohydrate" diets and putting people at risk for permanent physical damage to their health. Thankfully, we have George Eisman.

George Eisman is one the nation's foremost educators on vegetarian nutrition. He has served as a faculty member in Dietetics and Nutrition at several universities and colleges and created the first accredited program in Vegetarian Studies. He has worked in a children's hospital, a nursing home and for public health agencies in four states. Eisman has spoken at numerous events and conferences and is the author of two books, The Most Noble Diet (1994) and A Basic Course in Vegetarian and Vegan Nutrition (2003).

He will also be speaking in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins at these places and times:

Friday, June 4th, in Colorado Springs, 7:00 p. m. in the small hall of All Souls Unitarian Church, 730 N. Tejon.

Sunday, June 6th (afternoon), in Fort Collins. Vegetarian potluck from 12 noon to 3 p. m. with George Eisman as the featured speaker. 1314 Buttonwood Drive in Fort Collins. Call 970-690-0701 for more information or for directions.

The Vegetarian Society of Colorado (VSC) is a nonprofit educational group dedicated to educating the public about plant-based alternatives to meat-centered diets.
