Web Coordinator
Generally, the web coordinator should maintain the VSC web
site.
1. The web coordinator should obtain all the newsletter articles
submitted online to the newsletter editor through "news =AT=
vsc.org" and add them to the web site. He or she should
maintain contact with the newsletter editor for this purpose.
2. "Breaking news" which didn't make it into the newsletter
should also be posted on the web site in a timely fashion.
3. Dining guide updates submitted to the coordinator should be posted
to the appropriate city page in the online Dining Guide.
4. Links posted on the "Links" page should be updated
sparingly. Generally, links should not be added unless there is a
specific reason. Any mass-generated "requests" to
cross-link can be routinely disregarded.
5. Any other reasonable suggestions from members or local vegetarians
should be incorporated. If in doubt as to whether it's
appropriate, ask the President or the Board of Directors.
6. The web coordinator should also maintain and update all "vsc.org"
addresses. These are addresses such as "xxx@vsc.org"
which must be forwarded somewhere.
7. The web coordinator should make sure that the registration for our
web site is kept current (currently we use GoDaddy.com as our web
registrar), and that the web hosting space for our web site is also kept
current (currently we use Addr.com as our web host). Expenses
incurred are reimbursable.
