Special Screening of "The Witness" at the Boulder Outdoor Theatre
In recognition of World Vegetarian Day on October 1st, and World Day for Animals on Farms on October 2nd, the VSC, in conjunction with RMAD and PAW, is holding a special showing of The Witness on the large screen at the Boulder Outdoor Theatre on
Friday, October 3rd.
The Witness is an award-winning documentary about a construction contractor from Brooklyn, Eddie Lama, turned animal rights activist. Eddie explains in the film how he feared and avoided animals for most of his life, until the love of a kitten opened his heart, inspiring him to rescue abandoned animals, become a vegetarian, and ultimately, to bring his message of compassion to the streets of New York.
Those of us who have seen the film are looking forward to sharing this uplifting experience, in an awesome forum, with others who are passionate about spreading the message of compassion. And, we are very happy to be able to offer this opportunity to those who have not seen the film -- at no charge!!!
If you have been looking for a way to introduce your friends to the concept of compassion toward animals and vegetarianism, this is the perfect opportunity. Eddie tells his story with humor and sincerity, and in a non "overbearing" manner that everyone can relate to.
Bring a chair, blanket, and food/drink if you like. We will provide hot drinks, munchies, and plenty of literature, recipes, and catalogs for people to take home.
For directions to the theatre, exact start time (yet to be determined), and any questions, contact Logan at
