Denver Events

The VSC sends out many thanks to our members who volunteered to help at the Dr. Greger events held this past March!  Dr. Greger's lectures provided a wealth of information, helping to educate those who were interested in becoming vegetarian and those who have already become vegetarian.

Also in March, an exciting and successful 1st meeting of the Green Gathering was held at the Mercury Café, hosted by our VSC members Amy and Joe Dobzynski. Those who attended had an informative luncheon learning about Consumer Supported Agriculture (CSA's) and the values they provide to our community. Thank you Amy and Joe!!

In April, a wild and crazy time was had by all who attended the pottery class held at Get Fired Up. Everyone was in a creative mood and truly fired up.....leaving the studio covered in paint and laughing! Don't be to surprised if many of these beautiful creations are displayed at the State's next Art Fair!

Have you ever tried veggie kabobs, barbecued tofu, or grilled tempeh? Well here's your chance. Please join us for a veggie barbecue on Saturday, June 14th, at 5:00pm. It's going to be an evening of good conversation, good food, and backyard fun for the entire family. Please bring a plant-based dish (no meat, fish, fowl, dairy, eggs, honey or other animal derived products). Refreshments will be provided. The gathering will be held at Shelli Smith's house, located at 730 S. Shoshone St., Denver - 10 minutes south of downtown Denver, right off I-25. No RSVP necessary.
