The Wild Bunch is Back!
by Scott Plummer
The "Wild Bunch" is... well, that is a good question. It is
a group of singles and not so single, young and not as young,
vegetarians and vegans that like to go out and have a good time. You can
even invite your non-vege significant others (I've talked with a couple
of you!), friends, or enemies to come see that we really can be wild and
vegetarian at the same time. So far this year we have hot tubbed at the
house of one of my professors, participated in protests, chowed down on
vegan Chinese food, and heard an empty beer bottle roll down the aisle
at the cheap movie theaters (I still don't know who that was that did
that! Ok, so it was me. Sigh...). Most recently, we have built feral cat
shelters and surprised Ann at the Watercourse restaurant on the occasion
of her 50th birthday (and my 35th, but she was "the star of the
show"). Happy Birthday Ann! Future events, in planning, include a
wine tasting at Mark Reinhardt's Little Yellow House in Denver, a house
party/ski trip (if we can skimp & save for a lift ticket) to Tim's
house in Vail, a trip to Strawberry Hot Springs, and a hot tub party in
Nederland.
How does one get on this hit parade? For now, send me your e-mail (splummer@columbine.net)
and I will put you on the list. Here soon, we will see about getting a
listserve so people can send out messages to everyone automatically, but
for now, send your activity ideas/requests, etc. to me and I'll send
them out to the list!
Ka'pla!
