‘Simply Vegetarian’ was the theme for our December potluck, it
was simply delicious as always! Some of the dishes included: pasta,
gnocci, stacked tofu enchiladas, steamed broccoli, salads, and even a
‘take out pizza’ yumm.
In January we had our usual great eats, but our technology let us
down. We couldn’t get our DVD of ‘Maximum Nutrition: Transitioning
to a Plant Based Diet’ by Michael Greger, M.D. to play, so instead we
viewed our back up video of ‘The Witness’ by Tribe of Heart -- what
a powerful show. We are looking forward to viewing their new release ‘Peaceable
Kingdom’ during our Great American Meat Out event.
On our December Vegetarian Stew radio show Dave Tilton of the New
American Dream offered some great thoughts on making conscious consumer
choices, and how to make one’s holidays more meaningful. A visit to
their website at www.newdream.org
will help you learn more of what matters to you.
In January, hosts Carol, Eric and Marian got ‘the plain truth from
the cattle rancher who won’t eat meat’ -- Howard Lyman. Our audience
got some revelations about mad cow disease, and a challenge to make
their consumer choices informed choices, choices for a viable future.
