We were glad to host Brenda Davis in Colorado Springs on February 24! Coming up, we're planning the following:

Saturday, March 20, 12:00 noon. 

Come celebrate the first official day of spring in the beautiful Garden of
the Gods, on March 20th at noon. We'll gather for a potluck at the Scotsman
Picnic Area (directions below). Please bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to
share with recipe card listing ingredients and your own utensils. You might
want to bring your bike, hiking shoes, or just relax in the park! Everyone
is welcome to attend, so bring a friend to welcome spring!

Directions to Scotsman Picnic Area: From 30th street, turn West onto GatewayRoad (the entrance into the park). Follow Gateway to the Juniper Way Loop (you can only go right). Take Juniper Way past the main Garden area and past the left-hand turnoff for the loop. Look for sign for picnic area. There will be a pull off (#12) right before Scotsman, which is found at Parking #13 on your left. I will post a VSC sign to direct you toward the right
table.

(You can also get to the park from the Westside, El Paso Blvd. entrance.
Follow Garden Drive, past Spring Canyon Area, all the way to picnic area,
which will be on your right.

A map of the park, including the picnic area is also available online at
www.springsgov.com. Click on "Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Service", then
"facilities", then "picnic table locations." This will bring up a window
with various zip codes. Select "80904" and on the map select the Garden of
the Gods park. You can then choose to zoom in on Scotsman Picnic area, see a
larger map, etc.
