Many people in this country do not realize that 60-70% of the foods that they buy in the grocery stores contains genetically engineered ingredients. In recent polls, 93-98% of Americans say that they would like these foods to be labeled, but our elected officials are ignoring the consumer and instead listening to the special interests of the
biotech industry. These foods are untested and unregulated and pose
grave threats to our health and to the health of our environment.

Patrick West, Director of the Colorado Genetic Engineering Action
Network, will be speaking at this event.  (He will also be speaking at the Boulder VSC potluck on March 10th.) Come listen to his presentation and have your questions answered. What is it? What are the risks to our health, to the environment, to animals? What
about all those industry promises? What can I do?
